เป็นระบบการจัดเก็บและเบิกจ่ายสินค้าอัตโนมัติ ประกอบด้วยโครงสร้างชั้นวางสินค้า (ASRS Racking) ซึ่งเป็นโครงสร้างเหล็กสำหรับจัดเก็บสินค้า โดยมีอุปกรณ์เครื่องจักรที่ใช้จัดเก็บและเบิกจ่ายสินค้า (Storage and Retrieval Machine : SRM) ที่สามารถวิ่งเคลื่อนที่ได้ทั้งแนวราบและแนวดิ่ง เพื่อจัดการการนำสินค้าเข้าและออกจากชั้นวางอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
ระบบนี้ยังถูกควบคุมด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์โดยใช้ระบบบริหารจัดการคลังสินค้า (Warehouse Management System : WMS) และระบบควบคุมเครื่องจักร (Warehouse Control System : WCS) เพื่อเพิ่มความแม่นยำและความคล่องตัวในการจัดการคลังสินค้า
